The Happy House

Hồ Hảo Vừa’s house was constructed from bamboo and wood, which had endured years of many flood seasons, with its roof unable to withstand the harsh elements. Whenever the rainy season arrives, his home faces the risk of potential collapse.

Hồ Hảo Vừa was born in 2010 in Hướng Hoá District, Quảng Trị, near the western border of Vietnam. He was orphaned at a young age, carrying the heavy burden of losing both his father and mother. Currently, he lives with his grandparents, who have made great efforts to provide him with a better life. Hướng Hoá District is susceptible to severe flooding during the rainy season, posing a significant threat to their living condition.

“I want to become an Agricultural Engineer.”

After the construction was done, Thanh Dung Foundation, along with the project team, visited his family in Hướng Hoá District, Quảng Trị. During the visit, we had the opportunity to converse with Hảo’s grandparents. His grandparents shared their emotions and gratitude for their family after receiving the new house. They expressed their thanks to the Thanh Dung Foundation for helping Hồ Hảo Vừa have a safe and warm shelter. Their heartfelt words added strength to the mission of “Kindness Create Change” that we are committed to pursuing.
